After spending an hour on the phone to the Logitech support line yesterday the only thing the chap could tell me was that I would need to try and sort it out myself. Really Helpful support! After going through all of them, I find that the one for PC input is not even defined and the Harmony Software seems incapable of entering the discrete commands even if you know what they are.
Even worse, the internal Digital tuner can not be selected either as that command is also missing. Currently the only thing that seems to work is using input next to scroll through them.
Which is pretty useless when changing between two different activities as it takes 3 or 4 goes to get to the one you need. So I have asked them how I now go about getting the command that the TV expects but have not had any response back. My media Center seems to work on all functions with the exception of probably the most important one. Turning the thing on. When I use the harmony, it turns the media PC off ok but it only works 1 in 5 times turning on.
It is a real pain. I have gone through all the timing options and changed everything in both directlions to try and sort it, but nothing seems to work. I am just about ready to throw this out and go back to my old working remotes unless anyone can tell me what I need to do to get it to work. Thanks for listening, any advise greatly received. Discrete commands The problem with missing discrete commands are: 1 Usually NOT on the original remote so can't teach them.
Workarounds : 1 If you know the Pronto codes, then submit them to Harmony support. Thanks Jlet, I have submitted the codes that I found on here and by searching the web. IR receiver for Vista Media Center.

At some point along the way, not necessarily at the same time, we got an , and also discovered some kind soul had added an "Aspect" command that we could assign, which has been absolutely great changing the aspect manually is a drag.
Have had that running for the last couple of years. A couple of weeks ago, I picked up a new linksys dma extender and a small white samsung lcd tv for the kitchen. Great setup, after the initial kinks everyone's real happy with it. Except, the big problem was that the Harmony in the living room would not only send its commands to the main home theater setup, but they would also make it all the way to the kitchen line of sight, an extra 25' or so.
With multiple STB's, I'm familiar with addressing, and found a way to change Vista's and the remote's address, and updated my When changing the STB addresses, the Harmony database actually had multiple codesets already on file which was handy, but for Vista Media Center it didn't, so I had to relearn the whole set. I would do this the other way around, i. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas?
How does one get an additional codeset added to the Logitech database, along with a manually updated code? Or is this even possible? If all you did was change the remote address this will ask you to send a few test commands and it will automatically choose the right IR codes for that address if they exist. Add a new MCE device and try that - using the remote that's already been set for the new address.
I bet that gives you back the Aspect command since they normally just copy all the commands to the different IR addresses.
