With this blu-ray player it never did that and plays all of my DIVX collection not like my old player.
Pros: Smart tv internet apps with netflix, pandora, and others. Touch buttons on the front. One of the best netflix layouts i have used. The menu selection is a little laggy but it plays just fine.
Cons: No wifi built in. It does say wifi ready but you have to buy the adapter not included inorder to use it with wifi. Also it seems that the smart tv app has a new update a couple times of day.
Overall Review: I bought this at walmart not on newegg but my review is just as valid. Though as stated that this does say wifi ready this does not come with wifi built in. You have to buy the adapter to plug into the usb port in the back. Its a good thing that my router is 2 feet away.
The other review here says that it take a long time for anything to load. Well it does when you first buy it but when you force it to download and install the latest firm ware it goes much faster. You have to force the firmware update in the settings area. One cool thing this does do is show you the run time on a song from pandora or on a netflix video.
Cons: After 13 months of ownership it began playing only 27 minutes of a Blu Ray movie and DVDs would randomly pixelate on the screen followed by a loud squealing sound. Overall Review: I did like the player until it decided to die on me. It was annoying that it died one month out of warranty. Pros: Great Blu-ray player overall.
The feature to hook up the player to the network and play movies from your PC is the best feature overall. Never had a problem with player. Works well and reliably. Cons: Gather dust like crazy. The initial setup for the PC Share Manager software can be a little tricky. Most video formats work but not all. When hardwired into my Router it connects to the internet with no problem at all. I've tried other brands of access points which I already had , but it seems like I had to reconfigure things every day.
So I said the hell with it and just hardwired things. Overall Review: I bought two players refurbished from Best Buy at the same price.
